As a programmer at music venue De Doelen, I was responsible for both developing the jazz vision for 2021-24 and setting up the jazz program for 2020. As a programmer, I see it as my main role to present a diverse scope of music for different niches in the city and region. As the founder, coordinator and lecturer of "Your Art as a Business", a four year Bachelor and two year Master course in music entrepreneurship, my aim was to empower music students at Conservatorium Maastricht to develop a sustainable music (portfolio) career. To better equip young musicians for employment and enterprise, this program empowers them to create their own career trajectory by offering good information, career discovery and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset. Being part of this European thinktank on Higher Music Education based in Bruxelles was a life-changing experience. Working with experts from around Europe on how entrepreneurship should be embedded in HME curricula offered a great opportunity to bring music education to the 21st Century. Woot!Woot!Woolf was a collective that organized indie-pop festivals in unorthodox locations in/around Utrecht (NL). With a team of a marketeer, set builder, light designer, audio-tech and myself, we created six immersive musical experiences that were well received by audiences and the press. As director, my main responsibilities were the artistic program, budget creation and control, project management and team collaboration.
