In charge of high-sigma projects for digital cells and memories under variations, as a statistician, I design and implement computational kernels that helps IC designers to handle variations.High replication cells (e.g. SRAMs, DRAMs, FFs, logic gates) must be functional and meet performance requirements. High-sigma means many cell replicates (e.g. millions or billions) and rare failures to be identified. This is a challenging task that designers have to address, especially at advanced nodes and low power technologies (e.g. 22FDX, 16FF, 14FF, 12FDX, 7FF) with process variations that have to be taken into account to achieve a satisfactory yield. As technical leader my work consists of developing statistical methods for the analysis of integrated circuits, taking into account the process variability. In the era of deep submicron technologies, IC designers have to take into account the process variability to meet yield requirements or to improve the performances of their circuits. Currently this task is achieved by using Monte-Carlo analyzes that are provided by most of the spice simulators. Though very simple, such analyzes might require a huge number of simulations and then might be time-consuming and/or unaffordable. The need for new eda tools that integrate process variability aware approaches and, thus, accelerate the verification phase is relevant to designers. Based on customers' needs, I developed and integrated such approaches into Infiniscale's products. Show less

As lead programmer I was involved in engineering projects that required CAD tools. My work consisted of understanding and translating customers' needs into specifications to develop the corresponding softwares. Hereafter are the applications that I contributed to. In the field of automotive lighting, testbeds are used for R&D and QC purposes to achieve photometric measurements. A unified and flexible framework to drive such equipments eased the deployment and the support of these applications for both the customers and Pleiades Technologies. In the field of surface precision polishing, accuracy requirements and high cost operations need CAD tools for process simulation. Using these tools engineers find process configurations that meet their needs. In the field of in vitro diagnotics, DNA microarray experiment repeatability and reproducibility must be assessed to garantee reliability. Statistical analyzes based on a bioassay database and relevant indicators provide valuable information to biologists. Show less

As PhD fellow I developed bayesian methods to identify the environmental factors that influence migration and natural selection processes. Such tools find important applications in the fields of conservation biology, wildlife management and in the identification of disease genes. The main theoretical issues was to understand the underlying biological questions and processes to construct an inference model. Then, in practice, I implemented computationally intensive algorithms to estimate the model parameters. At last I carried on senstivity studies based on synthetic data to assess performances/robustness; real data were also analyzed to exemplify the methods that I developed. I also developed communication skills through several teaching activities, vulgarization events and scientific article writing. Show less
