  CAE Healthcare is a division of CAE and a leader in medical simulation with state-of-the-art learning tools and innovative simulation solutions for healthcare professionals. This means that, instead of getting new medical practitioners to have their first manual operations on real human beings, they would be able to practice on simulators before. As a member of the quality assurance team in a 4 months internship, I had the privilege of testing the quality of some very innovative product in development. My role was to report the problems before the product gets on the market. A problem, or a bug can strongly influence the client’s experience. A good coordination within the QA team is essential. I was able to test simulators that uses ultrasound holographic scans as well as an online simulator where the user had to supervise an entire operation as an anesthesiologist. I also had the opportunity to test the performance of simulated bronchoscopies and endoscopies and cardiac and vascular procedures. In some of them, the user must set up the health conditions of the manikins. In others, the simulation requires using critical thinking to take the best decisions that may save the patient’s life in a timely manner. Worked with Jama, Jira, Ranorex. Show less
