Hands-on building, testing, and validation of initial designs. Complete redesign of over 300 cables on Swift’s SFT 8900 platform. This project included power, communication, control, and sensor cables that improve the installation, repair, and function of the overall system. Redesign both the Advanced Multi-Axis Controller (AMAC) and Amplified Distribution Board (ADB) for the new 450 program to reduce the amount of parts used, and the overall footprints while increasing the ease of access and airflow over the internal components. Designed multiple Frame Distribution Boxes that distribute AC/DC to all components on the different frames. The designs included the housing and component layout, the cable harness, and specified all the components used. Special consideration was taken to allow ease of field replacement of critical components without having to remove the entire box in a limited and unique space. Groups worked for: ASD, EBM, FaST, Rapid, SWIFT, & WIN. Show less
