In my tenure working alongside Philip Steiner, I've had the distinct pleasure of witnessing a professional who embodies the spirit of hospitality at its finest. Philip's relentless pursuit of excellence, combined with his palpable passion for the hotelier world, sets him apart in an industry that demands innovation and dedication. What further amplifies Philip's stature is his profound appreciation for the arts—a trait that not only adds depth to his character but also brings a unique perspective to our business and the hotels he manages. His endeavors extend beyond the confines of his immediate responsibilities. While many see the success of the hotel he stewards, few recognize the immense behind-the-scenes efforts he invests in Cycas Hospitality at large. He has been an instrumental pillar, offering assistance to colleagues, employees, stakeholders, and the industry as a whole. Philip's maturity belies his age, and his strategic, structured approach to diverse challenges is genuinely commendable. He possesses an innate ability to dissect complex issues, arriving at solutions with remarkable speed and precision. But beyond his professional accolades, it's his character that stands out the most. Philip is a testament to what it means to be not just a great hotelier but a wonderful human being. Working alongside him has not only been a professional privilege but also a personal joy. For anyone fortunate enough to collaborate with Philip in the future, they will quickly understand the value he brings—both in skill and in spirit.

If Philip was given the task of project managing the moon landing - even with no Mission Control experience - you could be confident that the entire process would run like clockwork, all setbacks and challenges would be taken in his stride and the final outcome would always be a successful mission – such is his dedication, determination and the attention to detail he bestows into every role he is given. Add this to his complete ability to recruit and surround himself with an engaged, energised and empowered team - and you immediately understand why his career within the hospitality sector has been one meteoric success story after another. I had the absolute pleasure and privilege to work with Philip in a variety of roles when he first started with Cycas Hospitality in 2020. Whilst I was his line manager, it became a regular occurrence where ‘’the student became the teacher’’. Philip is a true hospitality professional who clearly loves what he does . He is an absolute pleasure to work with - in any capacity!
