  Project Everest Ventures builds socially beneficial, affordable and sustainable business solutions that are tailored to solving social issues around the world. They provide opportunities for passionate individuals to gain practical experience in developing these sustainable social ventures in underdeveloped communities across Asia, Africa, and the Pacific. The ventures address systemic issues from environmental sustainability, healthcare, economic empowerment and food security. Participants on a Social Impact Internship hone soft skills such as leadership and problem-solving, directly engage with local communities through primary research and experimentation, and both learn and apply a range of entrepreneurial and business methodologies. As a trekker with PEV, I spent 4 weeks in Timor-Leste on a multidisciplinary team developing a social venture that focused on sustainable fuel. Show less
