This job involved working for a company running English immersion programmes for Polish children and teenagers. As an activity leader, I planned and ran games and sessions for groups of up to 50 young people. I also led speaking sessions for groups of 6 children whereby I encouraged their use of the English language. I also had a group of mentees each week whom I helped towards delivering a final presentation, entirely in English on the last day of each programme.

Virtual Work Experience student

This was an insightful virtual work experience programme in which I completed tasks typical for a trainee or lawyer in a leading commercial firm. Sectors included Transactional services, Construction, Projects and Finance and disputes. I particularly enjoyed the disputes section where I drafted a witness statement and gave advice concerning conflicts of interest.

I enjoyed participating in a mock assessment evening, courtesy of Flagship Group. Throughout the event I learnt lots about how Flagship is working to tackle the housing crisis and had the chance to deliver a presentation on how mergers and acquisitions are operating between housing associations. This event also helped me hone important skills such as public speaking and teamwork.
