Served several roles focused around the technical aspects of XBRL US product lines and data standards development. XBRL US Inc. is a nonprofit promoting the adoption of Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) data standards in US private and public sectors. Originally incorporated to create the US GAAP taxonomy for the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The taxonomy is used by every public US company for reporting quarterly and annual reports to the SEC and has leveled the playing field for financial analytics. Created a flexible business rules framework to identify issues in public company financial reports for data quality validations and for normalizing data based on multiple reporting paradigns. Framework includes a domain specific language (DSL) for authoring rules and a processing engine to run rules against a financial report formatted in the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). Created a database repository of XBRL financial report data. The repository is able to import data from any XBRL source. The repository is used by financial analysts, data agregrators, public companies, government agencies and watchdog groups. Participated on several XBRL taxonomy development projects providing technical guidance, creating the development process, creating repository for meta data management. ► US GAAP Taxonomy: Taxonomy defines over 15,000 reporting concepts and is used by all public companies to file regulatory reports to the SEC. ► Record of Credit Ratings Taxonomy: Taxonomy is used by all natinally recognized statistical rating organizations (NRSROs). ► Corporate Actions: Taxonomy defines message for financial corporate activities (such as dividend announcements). ► Solar Taxonomy: As part of the US Department of Energy SunShot initiative, the taxonomy is used for calculating the efficiency of solar projects and determine future cash flows.
