Manage a territory of ten states and hundreds of accounts. Employ existing marketing and inside sales strategies, as well as create and implement new ways of finding potential business contacts at hospitals, medical schools, simulation centers, labs, etc…with intent to do business and grow my territory’s revenue by offering the most attractive solutions to improving patient safety and procedural competencies in the medical field. Research and build networks of various groups and individuals to find need, funding, and to create business opportunities. Maintain and manage a diverse group of long term customer relations with coordinators, directors, deans, provosts, technicians, etc…I enjoy it. Show less

    • Outside Sales Rep/Field Manager
      • Aug 2009 - Sep 2011

This job was my introduction to the sales world immediately upon graduating from the University of Washington. It was an entry level, high-pressure, door-to-door type sales setting. Sales were made almost exclusively in people's homes and consisted of signing people up for three year contracts with ADT security services. This was admittedly a tough job with very high employee turnover. Towards the end of my time here, I moved up to a field management role and led a team of five or so field reps into a territory I designated each day. My reps would knock, get in, and call me to come in and help close the sale. I was consistently a top performer and closer, but ultimately it was time to move forward with my career after nearly two years. Show less
