Mr. Wendling served as a SETA (System Engineering and Technical Assistance) contractor for the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville Alabama. He worked within the Network Systems 4 Letter (ICTA Department) in the office of the CIO. From 05/2010 to 03/2011 he served in several capacities to include oversight of MDA’s JRDC contractor on several top 10 priorities. One of these projects was to oversee the IT requirements for the new Building VB III for incoming BRAC personnel. During this time Mr. Wendling was also the lead contractor working with the government to provide dedicated one on one service to the Director of Test’s organization. This included analysis of services needed and working them to closure within the CIO Office. His ability to understand the customer’s needs and working above and beyond to satisfy them represented both his company, and the CIO Office as a center of excellence. From 03/2011 to 07/2012 he served as a valuable team member in support of the Phased Adaptive Approach program within MDA. His focus was to support the IT requirements needed for a successful deployment of the weapon system. This includes understanding what the Aegis Ashore Program Office 2 letter’s mission was and how the office of the CIO could meet those objectives. The independent and detailed work that Mr. Wendling has provided the CIO office was proved to be invaluable, and his dedication to the mission support communications requirement ensured the successful deployment of missile defense. This work included network engineering drawings and reviews, review and comments to facility documents and designs, and developing working level support papers and briefings.
