I am responsible for the planning, organising, assessing, monitoring, evaluating and using data in order to support student progress. With heavy focus on the designing and delivery of curriculum based lessons, I use development needs analysis to measure the areas of weakness to ensure my lessons are differentiated to suit all abilities (including SEN and EAL students), and I ensure SMART targets are imbedded in all learning. I maintain a high level of subject knowledge through researching topic areas and ensure I use a variety of platforms including ICT and AV to capture learners imaginations. I am responsible for the assessment of my learners throughout KS3, KS4 and KS5 both internally and externally through GCSE, ALevel and BTEC qualifications. I also complete all reports and evaluations to a very high level .I apply appropriate and effective strategies to manage student behaviour and have been selected from over 160 teaching staff to work with students who struggle to access the curriculum to help improve their behaviour and progress within education.I lead extra curricular activities on a weekly basis and regularly organise educational visits.
