This was a 566 bed long term care facility providing care to pediatric to geriatric residents. I provided care to the chronic patient as well as the medically complex with nocturnal ventilation successfully transitioning some to home. Achieved department goals and objectives by instituting an improved standard for patient care throughout the facility. Initiating a new therapist on boarding and mentoring program to ensure proper training and resources to the new employee. I was involved in multiple collaboration with nursing to improve patient outcomes, minimize risk management and staff development. Assisted in developing a respiratory transitional care unit with the rehab department. Show less

This was with a 72 bed acute care facility with a 4 bed ICU and emergency room. Provided care to all respiratory compromised patients. Utilized my strong assessment skills to facilitate basic care, emergent care, and initiation of advanced therapies as needed. My care would include education, treatment, and support during this acute episode. I was involved in all bedside treatments including surgical procedures of bronchs and tracheostomies. Participant in physician rounding daily as well as outpatient testing.; This is an 800+ tertiary and quaternary acute care facility. I served as a new grad which moved from adult critical care all the way through to the NICU. I was involved in adult, NICU, and PICU transport teams successfully. I was able to deliver all levels of care throughout the facility and would float to assist when needed. I was able to develop strong assessment skills in many areas throughout the facility. Here I was exposed to the advance therapies and able to apply them in all age categories effectively. Developed a team approach to care and able to facilitate in any area when needed. Show less
