  I worked on two projects during my time at Gold Coast Matcom, in this period I learnt a lot of valuable practical skills, which include: Sales automation. The company was collaborating with a software company to tailor their sales automation software to fit our needs. The software ran on the mobile phones of the sales representatives. It had the aim to reduce administrative tasks and enable them to focus on sales and give the sales reps and the company analytical data. I was exposed to some of the preparation work needed for the startup of this project, including data related to products, clients, zones and sales reps. E-commerce presence. Consumer shopping was rapidly shifting towards being almost entirely online and being in the midst of COVID at the time was accelerating this. The company planned to start selling online, thus opening up an e-commerce store and therefore planned on expanding product range. I was part of a group that works on product financial analysis and also got exposure to collaborate with other groups that are working on sourcing and market studies. Show less
