Dec 2019 - Present
As a Technical support engineer, My time is split between office based activities and field work. While in the office I am responsible for the prioritizing of fault calls, arranging engineer attendance within SLAs, Arranging RMA’s when needed, Providing Technical Support to both end users and field engineers, Lising with manufacturing about technical issues, processing all field engineers reports adding additional information and recommendations when required, Spotting sales opportunities and supporting the sales team. Whilst working in the field I routinely complete servicing, commissioning, fault diagnostics and repair of UPS and their battery systems often in sensitive locations such as hospitals and datacenters where disruption to the load must be avoided. As well as these primary responsibilities I also have supported the install teams with complete battery build and completion of DC cabling and terminations. During my time with Power Control, I have also been responsible for testing our new range and preparing the technical documents for them such as user manuals, engineer SOPs, Transferring and reorganizing all technical documents to SharePoint, Designing and creating a PowerApps App for this signing in/out of equipment. Other additional responsibilities included setting up basic tool issues lists and ensuring all engineers have the tools they need to carry out their duties correctly and safely ensuring all test equipment is calibrated at all times.
