I provide security to a gated community of 1600 people called The Colony. I provide access control at the main entrance gate by checking the identification of all residents, guests, and vendors who enter into the community. I log all traffic, vehicles and people that walk into this gated community. I also answer phone calls from residents who are giving advance notice to their guests and vendors entering into the community. I enter advance notifications into a computer application software. I call residents within the community to verify the identification of guests and vendors who are not logged into the computer and may be denied access if the resident cannot be contacted and identification cannot be verified. I drive a patrol vehicle to patrol the community. My responsibilities while on patrol are to check homes while residents are on vacation, write citations for Home Owner Association regulation violations to residents, guests, and vendors within the community. These citations include speed limits, left out trash cans, domestic disturbance, signs, barking dogs, and all other issues that involve a community of people. I observe and report, and provide assistance when needed to first responders of 911 calls within the community including medical calls.

Universal Protection Services (UPS) took over the account for The Colony at California Oaks Association that I entered in the first employment section. As a valued employee with the Home Owners Association, I was given the opportunity and encouraged to go with the new security service. Enjoying community policing and working with the residents of The Colony community, I decided to work for Universal Protection Service. My responsibilities were to enforce Home Owner Association regulations and policies within the community. In addition to my responsibilities stated with UPS, I provided access control by monitoring access into the community by checking and verifying all identification with residents, guests, and vendors. I investigated all incidents within the community. To ensure due process of incident I provided written reports in a detailed manner by interviewing people involved and any witnesses to the incident. Reports are written by describing the nature of the situation, noting all particular circumstances, and documenting any additional information pertaining to the incident. All reports are first taken in notation form, translated into report form, and entered into a software document. All written information is reviewed, signed, and saved as a file within a computer network. All reports are submitted via email to the Post Commander and Home Owner Association personnel.
