My role encompasses navigational safety, regulatory patrol, education and enforcement of boating activities. I am also responsible for the effective management numerous Crown owned facilities and reserves including 17 public boat launching facilities, numerous jetties, 180 swing moorings and 300 berths in 4 marinas. In 2009 I began consulting with Iwi, key stakeholders and the community to redevelop the Motuoapa Marina on the eastern shores of Lake Taupo.
