KPC/KPRL Crude Oil Project • Ensuring all Electrical and instrumentation installations are done as per the required standards. • Reviewing documents such as Datasheets, BOQ, Functional Design Specification, I-O assignment, FAT procedures, PID, etc. to ensure that they meet required specifications. • Coming up with construction drawings for road crossings, Control and electrical panels installation, Junction box and push button structures, etc. • Coordinate site activities to ensure that projects are completed on time and meet the client’s requirements. • Ensuring that trenches are excavated on time and meet the design specifications. • Laying of Electrical and Instrumentation cables neatly in trenches and coordinating backfilling process. • Installation of Field junction boxes and Distribution boards and terminating the respective cables. • Testing and calibrating instruments such as Pressure switches, Temperature transmitters, Pressure transmitters, Level gauges and flame detectors. • Ensuring successful Installation of MV(6.6Kv) and LV(415V) switchboards, testing and terminating the respective cables, powering and commissioning. • Ensuring successful termination of cables to pumps with the following ratings (5.5Kw, 11Kw, 22kw, 45Kw, 160Kw, 315Kw) • Installation of PLC, ESD, and networking panels in the control room, and terminating the respective cables to these panels. • Carrying out the various cable tests i.e. Continuity, Insulation Resistance using a Megger insulation tester and multimeter. • Troubleshooting of faulty electrical/instrumentation devices, and carrying out the necessary repairs. • Maintaining proper documentation throughout the project implementation period. • Writing daily progress reports and sending them to the Project manager. • Attending Factory Acceptance Tests for electrical and instrumentation equipments both locally and abroad to ensure that they meet the required specifications before shipment.
