      • Starting in the south with some jungle work then heading north to climb La Malincha (5,500m). Heading north to complete our community project in a school for the disabled. The work on this project started 18 months prior to departure with training days and negotiations over itinerary. The World Challenge ethos is to allow the students to manage the expedition themselves with the leader acting as safety back-up, guide and overall manager.

      • This included taking 16 teenagers to Africa for a month long project. The trip was split into 3 parts. The first was the acclimatisation which included some training treks in the bush, the second part was the main trek which took us out into the bush for over a week trekking down Botoka Gorge on the Zambezi, followed by a community project in a small village in the forest, helping to build long drop toilets and repairing the school house. My role again was that of back up and safety.
