Phil has a unique ability to build rapport quickly, and genuinely with anyone that he meets. He is a highly skilled communicator, who adjusts his communication style effortlessly depending on who he is engaging with - as well as being a very talented wordsmith. Despite working in different locations (but within the same team) Phil was a huge support to me during his time at JDRF - he was always helpful and generous with his time and knowledge. In particular, when I sought support from Phil to communicate with a challenging stakeholder, he advocated on my behalf in a respectful and considerate way, resulting in a positive outcome for all involved. I worked closely with Phil on two events in Brisbane, a Gala and a Sports Quiz - and on both occasions witnessed first hand his excellent event management and people skills. He is flexible, adaptable, quick thinking and solutions focused in a crisis, and above all else a friendly and authentic relationship manager. Phil balances the practical and planning sides of a development manager with the light hearted and lively traits often required at events - he really puts the fun in fundraising!

Philip is a natural communicator, in both written and verbal mediums. His presentations and pitches are creative and compelling and leave everyone hanging on his word. Phil is always one to challenge the status quo and puts forward ideas and suggestions readily, with the customer in mind. I’ve really enjoyed working with Philip and his sense of humour – but our loss is the gain of his new colleagues.
