In my present role, I am responsible for generating prototypes and art-of-the-possible innovative software for the identification, retrieval and protection of sensitive information. I have done this both at an individual level, and as a team lead/architect. We work using a range of techniques and technologies. Such technologies include Elasticsearch, ArangoDB, python, Java, Postgresql and rabbitmq. I have also performed client-focused requirements gathering and demonstrations. My role has also expanded to be client facing, where I have assisted clients where they have particularly advanced data search requirements with our flagship product. In addition, I have used this experience to supplement the customer facing documentation. I have also been involved in both internal and external training development for the flagship product, and for our internal staff on development tools and programming languages that we use. Show less

May 2015 - Dec 2016
In this position at Haverford College, I was engaged with several research projects in computer science and chemistry. I acted in an advisory role for eight undergraduate project students, as well as carrying out my primary research funded by the NSF as part of the Dark Reactions project. My role in this research has revolved around software and database engineering and design, as well as applying Big Data techniques to chemical reactions. Since our publication in Nature, I have begun coordinating with research groups at external institutions globally to incorporate their data into our studies. I have also undertook some research of my own design centered around applications of statistics to inorganic hydrothermal syntheses. In addition, I have developed and delivered a Computer Science course entitled “Relational Database Design and Utilisation”, and have delivered a course in Materials Science. Show less
