Having my first commercial development role in a newly formed start-up company gave me the opportunity to work autonomously on many challenging projects. Working in a fast paced environment meant that my professional development was accelerated. Responsible for designing and developing front-end software and websites, while also creating and maintaining back-end servers. This demanding role required the ability to jump between several languages and platforms quickly whilst producing stable fully functioning solutions. Accomplishments ● Investigated vulnerabilities in existing security credentials, and the development of new, more secure credentials along with an associated life-cycle. ● Developed all of the software and front-end for a fully automated system designed to print and encode smart cards with minimum human interaction. It is a completely robust system, with extensive error catching and every step of the process is recorded and logged to ensure traceability. ● Created a multi-threaded HTTP Server designed to receive XML messages, parse this data and store it in an SQL server. ● Designed and created an Android application to measure pressure distribution for a healthcare company. Pressure sensors monitor the patient’s stance and using an Arduino send this data via Bluetooth to the Android application. This data is then displayed visually to show patient’s centre of gravity.
