9mo Contract role with the Cooper Basin Team for 2022 Focused on identifying and progressing workover In-WellBore opportunities, primarily on oil wells. This work involved screening for suitable candidates, working up technical solutions to improve the well performance, Artificial Lift design, initial project economics and well forecasting. Progressing the project through the various internal and JV stage gates, before handoff to the execution team. Once the project had been completed, I re-engaged with the frontline team for well start up and evaluation of the workover production performance. Show less

Senior Production Engineer/Technologist within Glencore's E&P Department. Working across the three Glencore E&P Assets (Chad, Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon) in a variety of roles as required by being part of a small E&P team. This has included Cameroon (Operated) * Production and injection well CONCEPT and SELECT stage design for the offshore Oak Oil Field * Injected/produced fluid compatibility testing with reservoir fluids inc organisation of water sampling project. Equatorial Guinea (Non-Op, Joint Venture) *Production management and reporting with the operator. *Implementation of the Petex Digital Oil Field software IVM at Glencore to improve reporting, consistency and frequency of the production data from our partner. Chad (Operated) * Production improvement from sand face through to facilities. * Successful workover campaigns in 2015, 16 and 17. Identifying and opening up new intervals for production, shutting off water to free up facility restrictions, first multi-stage fracture stimulation(s) performed in Chad on SI wells, artificial lift installation. * Tender scope of work and evaluation for completions, ESPs and fracturing services resulting in significant savings through better defined SOW's and understanding of requirements for developing the project. Lessons learnt from prior contracts signed prior to Glencore saw double digit percentage reductions in contract pricing. * Completion and fracturing design for Badila, Mangara and Krim fields incorporating designs to manage challenging production conditions such as early water/gas breakthrough, rigless multi-zone appraisal testing, multi-stage fracturing in differential pressure regime. *The role covers a wider variety of "hats" as a result which is helped by having a good relationship with the field managers, production supervisors and 3rd party suppliers of equipment and services. I have been also involved in new business ventures from a technical review perspective. Show less

Focused on the Bowen Basin Exploration and Appraisal campaign.Lead conceptual and detailed design of hydraulic fracturing across the core area as well as the follow up analysis and evaluation of HF and production performance. This analysis was done closely with Reservoir Engineering to allow the construction of various models to better help our understanding of the production drivers and area potential.Worked closely with HF execution team from Well Engineering and Service Company(s) to ensure operational feedback was incorporated into the HF planning so to improve on our design and ensure safe operations.Supervision and support of graduate petroleum engineer project which was focused on modelling and then capturing the uncertainty around proposed stimulated horizontal wells in a tight gas field. A Production Technology role that evolved over its duration to cover a number of different roles across all three major subsurface areas that QGC was/is involved in. This work was initially focused on the development of CSG/CBM in the Surat Basin undertaking conceptual and detailed design work of hydraulic fracturing (HF) and deviated wells. The work expanded to later include involvement in the exploration of tight gas sands with detailed design work and analysis to characterize the reservoir and provide HF parameters. This fed into the HF design and subsequent execution and was followed up with supporting the production tests. Ensuring correct sampling and operating procedures were carried out as well as providing analysis and comment to decision makers. The role also covered at time involvement into artificial lift design, single well modelling, water injection well design support and QCLNG partner interaction.Supervision and support of two graduate petroleum engineer projects which were focused on modelling and understanding the fracture height growth across the Walloon Coal Measures and an analysis of the HF fluid chemistry used by QGC to date and its impact on the HF and production performance. Lead author on SPE 167053 which was presented at the 2013 Unconventional Resources Conference and Exhibitions - Asia Pacific in Brisbane Show less
