The Wycliffe Global Alliance exists to see individuals, communities and nations transformed through God’s love and Word expressed in their languages and cultures. I serve as a member of the Wycliffe Global Alliance leadership team with specific responsibility for the communication functions of the Alliance. The Alliance Leadership Team (ALT) is a multinational team (https://www.wycliffe.net/about-us/leaders/) that provides leadership and service to Bible translation movements. The Alliance is made up of more than 100 organisations that manage more than 2,000 Bible translation programmes. The ALT serves these organisations by creating the environment for collaboration and partnership. As Director for Communication, I lead an international team that has responsibility forCommunicating the work, vision, identity and mission of the AllianceManaging the Alliance websites that provide resources, training and leadership to the wider community of organisations.Creating a global network for media professionals to share stories and information and expertise.Since 2017, I have coordinated a number of training events for media professionals. Been part of the planning committee for the Alliance’s Global Gathering that was due to take place in September 2020. Following the cancellation of the event, I led the development of our first online global conference. In 2020 I completed a professional programme of study in International Missional Leadership with the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies. The four residential study weeks enabled a cohort of global leaders to look more deeply at organisational development, leadership, mission and spiritual formation as key concepts for those in leadership roles.

Responsible for communicating the work of Wycliffe Bible Translators throughout the UK. This involves - Brand Management - In January 2010 we tweaked the logo to more accurately reflect the organisations proposition, changed the website to be more accessible to our audience and reworked our promotional material. Behind the scenes this kind of process required a good deal of internal communication to help staff and partners understand what was going on and why. The result has been improved communications and some great feedback. Development and maintenance of communications channels - From Twitter and Facebook, through e-publications and a bi-annual magazine, to preaching and hosing visitors; Wycliffe connects with the UK public in a whole variety of ways. It's important that while different channels share the message in different ways to different constituents, our overall proposition and messaging stays consistent. Working with partners - Where ever Wycliffe are involved in Bible translation we work with partners. This is no different in the UK, where reaching the widest possible audience requires working with a whole host of partners. The communications team takes a large portion of the responsibility for working with partners, working on national projects such as Biblefresh and E100. There are also direct relationships with organisations such as Global Connections. Other duties: Financial planning and reporting for the marketing and communications team. Line management and recruitment of staff. Public speaking / preaching.
