My photography career started in the skate industry shooting lifestyle, editorial, and product photography. Although most of my work is still in action sports I’ve also been engaging in more freelance work that combines aspects of my other experiences to deliver well-rounded purpose-driven content for all of my client's needs in the digital and physical spaces. As a layout designer, I used the expertise I gained in the outdoor and skate industries to develop and execute the production of promotional material in close collaboration with the marketing director, brand managers, team managers, and salesmen. In this role, I edited photos for and created advertisements, point of purchase assets, social media content, B2B assets and any other branded content that came out of DLXSF in the physical and digital spaces. After my tenure as a Web Developer, I earned the opportunity to move into the design branch of my web team. As a designer, my primary job was to work closely with our marketing team and stakeholders to develop designs for new web pages. This process consisted of brainstorming, sketching, creating static mockups, developing interactive mockups, user testing, tweaking previous iterations and eventually passing off the designs to the devs all while in constant contact with our stakeholders and marketing compatriots to ensure everyone was happy.

      • Dec 2016 - Nov 2017

As a Front End Developer at CU, the majority of my work consisted of translating static designs into a web page using SASS and Drupal, ensuring mobile and a11y compliance and making updates to any design elements of the site that were not on barand. In this role, I worked closely with the marketing and design teams to work out user pain points on our sites.

My professional career started at ZEAL where I got to hone the web development skills I learned in school on a small web team. Thanks to our small size I got to take on everything from design and development to copywriting and content management. The best part of this was being part of all phases of the marketing plan from ideation to execution and seeing what resonated.
