As a layout designer, I used the expertise I gained in the outdoor and skate industries to develop and execute the production of promotional material in close collaboration with the marketing director, brand managers, team managers, and salesmen. In this role, I edited photos for and created advertisements, point of purchase assets, social media content, B2B assets and any other branded content that came out of DLXSF in the physical and digital spaces. After my tenure as a Web Developer, I earned the opportunity to move into the design branch of my web team. As a designer, my primary job was to work closely with our marketing team and stakeholders to develop designs for new web pages. This process consisted of brainstorming, sketching, creating static mockups, developing interactive mockups, user testing, tweaking previous iterations and eventually passing off the designs to the devs all while in constant contact with our stakeholders and marketing compatriots to ensure everyone was happy.
