General maintenance and upkeep, mowing, raking bunkers, clearing leaves, operating machinery up to 2 tonnes. We were often indiviually assigned specific tasks that needed to be completed within a given timeframe, time management was crucial. I always tried to ensure I got jobs completed ahead of time so that I would be able to help those who were struggling to meet their deadline. Awarded the opportunity to study as an Erasmus student in Trapani, Sicily. Studied with the University of Palermo under Professor Concetta Messina, and Professor Andrea Santulli. My work at the lab formed my 3rd year undergraduate project, I investigated solvent extractions of polyphenolic compounds from algal samples. The lab was active very active, with many related projects running at the same time. Occasionally the entire lab, including myself, would work as a team to complete a piece of research. We formed a conveyor, in which each person performed a part of the methodology. These were my first experiences working in a professional laboratory, and I greatly enjoyed the opportunity.
