As of 2016, Over 65,000 self-pay patients have learned their eligibility at Sharp. PointCare has the entire US health care system online including all Federal plans, State plans, County plans, private individual programs, hospital charity programs, and group plan eligibility. PointCare, using a simple 90 second qualification screening to identifies eligibility, provides the application for coverage, a list of sign up requirements, phone numbers, a summary of coverage and web sites for all plans. The data is easily emailed to the patient or printed at point of care. Data collected anonymously from the patient is aggregated to provide valuable demographic reports. Third party vendors who help the hospitals with collections and eligibility are finding PointCare's system to be effective at increasing patient satisfaction as well as hospital revenue. PointCare training helps the patient advocate and the patient become part of the solution in a compassionate and empathetic communication.
