    • Director Infrastructure Services
      • Oct 2013 - Jun 2016

Responsibilities of the Director Infrastructure Services include Roads & Streets, Plant & Fleet, Bridges & Culverts, Traffic, Subdivisions, Drainage, Water Supply, Sewerage, Parks & Gardens, Recreation Grounds, Swimming Pools, Aerodromes, and Emergency Services (RFS & SES). I am required to lead and manage Council’s Infrastructure Services Stream (approx. 90 FTE). Ensuring statutory obligations are achieved and the delivery of services is consistent with Council’s goals and visions outlined in the Community Strategic Plan – Living Lachlan Style 2012 – 2022, Operational & Delivery Plan and Long-Term Financial Plan. I work to promote and lead business improvement, provide high level advice and technical guidance and liaise effectively with the other senior staff to ensure the long-term objectives of the Lachlan Shire can be achieved. It is also important to provide Councillors, staff, the community, contractors and other stakeholders with appropriate and substantiated advice and decisions (without fear or favour) relating to Infrastructure Services matters. The Lachlan Shire has the single largest road network of any Council in NSW with approxinatly 4,000km servicing an area of approx. 15,000km². There are three Depots, three water treatment plants, and three sewer treatment plants. Show less
