In 2013, The Diocese of London launched Capital Vision 2020 - seeking to make the Diocese more Creative, Compassionate, and Creative. As a part of that work, The Diocese set the goal of starting 100 new communities by end of 2020. I was recruited to advise the diocese and parishes on how to start 25 new Pioneer Communities - that is, Church communities working alongside the parish system. My role includes recruiting, supporting, and coaching individual leaders and teams in community development, leading on our Pioneer School (a training partnership delivered with the Church Mission Society) and developing other new resources and training materials. As 2020 began, we had launched 21 new pioneer communities in the Diocese. Show less

CRM is an international charity that seeks to support, equip and encourage leaders. Throughout my career, I had met many young leaders, like myself, working hard in London to make a difference but feeling burned out, unsupported and isolated. I saw that if we could connect these leaders together and enable them to share learning, develop skills, and generate opportunities for mutual working, we could see a huge change in their effectiveness and to London as a whole. To that end, I now manage the development of the network, coach individual leaders, deliver training in leadership, create and maintain the website and stage and manage empowering network events. My role at CRM is also entirely self-supported, so I fundraise, initiate and manage relationships with supporters. Show less
