• Commanded one of the US Air Force’s largest contracting squadrons. • Took top honors, twice, in the Pacific with Best Large Unit Contracting Squadron of 2010 and 2012. • Led 79-member team of military, civilian, and local national workforce responsible for supporting $5.6B in assets for the Air Force’s largest combat wing. • Delivered service, construction, and commodity contract support for the joint workforce of 24K personnel and 80K American citizens living on the island of Okinawa. • Provided $1M in contracted support to assist mainland Japan in the tsunami resulting from March 2011 that damaged the Fukushima nuclear plant and nearby communities. • Led five different phases of housing renovation contracts to improve Japanese-provided base housing on various installations across the island; a major Military Construction effort valued at $50M on 2.8K housing units for the benefit of 10K American personnel living on Okinawa. • Created and led a major strategic outreach effort, the “Okinawan First” initiative, to engage with local small businesses, which resulted in 73 new contract awards in year one valued at $4.1M in positive local economic impact to the Okinawans. It also ran an analysis branch which studied the purchasing patterns of Field Ordering Officers in Iraq to better prepare for the eventual complete withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan. • SCO-Q officially closed down operations on 31 MAR 2012, personally supporting the 2-star commander as an action officer, and finished my deployment working at Chief of Future Operations under the J3.
