I held two management positions during my time in this company. My first store was a small village store located on the outskirts of Taunton, Somerset. This store consisted of sales of £19K per week after tax, and a small team of around 10 colleagues. During my time here I increased sales to £23K per week, I restructured the store team to be the most effective at minimal cost, and I made the store largely profitable by maintaining store KPIs and bringing it's EBITDA comfortably into the positive. Other challenges included performance managing a failing team which was heavily family orientated and integrated within the community. My second store was located on a busy high street with heavy competition. The store was operating at sales of £28K after tax and with a team of 16 colleagues. After a few months I managed to drastically rebuild the team, improve performance and standards, and bring the store up to achieving £32-33K per week after tax deducted. This was accomplished whilst having all major retail competition within walking distance. Show less

Various roles originating as a Team Leader. I then ran my own fresh department maximising the best produce growth in the area, before moving onto running the Ambient side and leading a larger team below me. Once I had demonstrated that I could successfully lead a larger team and consistently deliver maximum productivity and availability, I was offered a seconded role to Team Manager in a diffetent store with sales of around £60K. I led this position for 8 months and actually performed many managerial roles and duties during a long period where the store did not have a manager. These roles involved colleague recruitment, scheduling, performance management and HR issues. I was also regularly running strategies to clear the massive stock holdings of the store and to maximise sales. Show less
