My role is to support the regional business partner, regional finance director, senior revenue reporting accountant and the north west commercial team.I am responsible for preparing monthly management accounting reports for regional business partners and budget holders. I provide a monthly commentary on the central / head office P&L to the regional finance director. I compile a weekly forecast P&L for the North West region to the finance business partner, local MD and the various regional budget holders. I am responsible for reconciling the accrued income balance sheet account for the publishing section of the PLC.I post various month end journals for print advertising revenue and digital advertising revenue (actual's / accruals / deferrals) to support the revenue accounting team. I also provide any necessary ad-hoc variance analysis for local and national finance business partners to aid their understanding of any difference compared to forecast.I'm involved in the production of a 4 year: print advertising revenue budget, digital advertising revenue budget and circulation advertising revenue budget. More recently I've been involved in the design and delivery of a print advertising revenue tool to support the budgeting process in conjunction with an external consultants. Additionally, I assisted in the roll out of this tool aiding the training of finance business partners and writing reports to review the output.I provide a daily revenue update which is circulated amongst senior management throughout the PLC. I worked as part of a management accounting hub supporting the Manchester publishing business partner. The role involved posting month end journals, updating monthly trackers, balance sheet reconciliations, compiling finance packs which included a SOFP & P&L twice a year in adherence to UK GAAP and IFRS. Constructing and implementing a budgeting model in excel for labour and distribution costs. Maintaining the master budget file for the Manchester region.
