I’ve been working professionally since 2011 for clients such as the Guardian, National Geographic Traveller, the BBC, GEO, Lufthansa inflight, the Telegraph, Dazed, Vice, UK Arts Council, London Olympics 2012, Age UK and many others.A background in the underground coupled with extensive travels has forged in me an understanding of culture, environment, urbanity and humanity as broad ranging as it is humble. I’m still fascinated and astonished by life on a daily basis. First and foremost I’m a documentary photographer, and this approach I always apply to travel, commercial and charity commissions.Personal qualities are often just as important as photographic ones in the field, and my persistence and natural communication and storytelling abilities are what’s enabled me to work in this vocation, that is so much more than a job. I now spend my time between Brazil and London, producing a combination of self directed projects and assigned work, selecting subjects that deeply interest me and I frequently produce stories completely independently. One of my working methods is incorporating audio to create multimedia pieces, as a way of harnessing the multi platform technology of our modern World.
