"I met Phil whilst I was on induction and he worked in the Aintree Call Centre. He very patiently and clearly spent time explaining his role in an entertaining and informative way. Later when Phil (unexpectedly) arrived for his field sales interview, I remembered this positive first impression. Phil was outstanding in his interview, which was against other internal and external candidates and I had no hesitation in offering him the role. I was Phil's line manager from early 2005 through to September 2006 and got to know Phil quite well. His performance and attitude through this time was always of the highest standard.
