I am pleased to write this recommendation for Ms. Petya Garbeva, with whom I worked during 2005 - 2008. Petya was the operations manager at City University of Seattle's site in Pravetz, Bulgaria. Petya managed to successfully deliver a smooth operation in an incredibly hectic situation. The program is a multi-party joint project and Petya had to accomplish her responsibilities while at the same time juggling the sometimes competing interests of the various parties. It can be a real minefield sometimes. She had to deal with a variety of people, including Bulgarian and international students, local Bulgarian staff, suppliers, the landlord, and both Bulgarian and foriegn faculty. Petya has a wonderful way of inspiring people and she was able to coordinate everything perfectly for the visiting foriegn staff. She displayed the famous Bulgarian hospitality which no one else can beat. In spite of sometimes intense pressure, she never lost her composure and made sure everyone else was well taken care of. Petya is a very special person who enriches any organization lucky to have her. We miss her still and wish her all the best.
