  Satya Wacana Christian University, or Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) is located in Salatiga city, known as the most tolerant city in Indonesia. The name itself is derived from Sanskrit, meaning "Faithful to the Word / Word of God". Our students come from Indonesia, so we are known as the 'Mini Indonesia' campus. With the slogan 'Creative Minority', we strive to provide empowering education for minority groups in Indonesia. With each student's diversity of cultures, we strive to provide an equal education ecosystem. With convivial pedagogy, we strive for a type of education that creates sustainable ways of living so academic freedom is maintained. As the most tolerant city, we educate our students to be concerned with the nature of life and achieve a state of harmony with the world. We aim to develop students' skills in social sensitivities, civic skills, cognitive skills, and cultural skills. Moreover, we encourage students to seek, explore and understand the difference based on Indonesia's values: "Harmony in Diversity" (Berbeda-beda tapi tetap Satu), to relate them purposefully to the world of action.
