Unfortunately I've never worked with Peter Waher, but today I am responsible for the AMR system MCom 4 which Peter was the architect to. Peter is responsible for many of the great features that are relevant even today, indicating a deep understanding of customer needs. Considering that most of the features was created almost 10 years ago and are still relevant and loved by our customers, I can nothing but recommend Peter.

Starting to work at Clayster Laboratorios Chile last year has been one of the most intelligent decisions that I have taken in my career as an engineer. This company gives me all the tools that I need to continue grow, personally and professionally. We have a great working environment that permits us to work happily, changing internet paradigms.

Continuing the work started at Manodo, we at Clayster have enhanced the application platform by first generalizing it, now specializing in cloud based services for ten foot interfaces (TV, touch displays, mobile phones, etc.). The platform can now also scale to new dimensions, in both directions: Large clusters can be created, using the incorporated cluster funcionality, as well as very small ones, hosted by enbedded devices (such as gateways and plug computers). Today it is possible using our system to create a service in .NET, run it locally on your Windows PC, and then using a simple copy/paste (or package install) run the same code either on a large clustered server or a small embedded Linux-based gateway or plug computer. Example product: http://www.ktc.se/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/IMC_Folder_LR_v2.pdf Much work has been done to enter the world of Web 3.0, by publishing services and their information (seamlessly) using Web 3.0 technologies, like the semantic web (SPARQL, RDF, Turtle, etc.) Social networking capabilities have been improved for all services, making it possible to create social applications and metering modules. The focus on seamless semantic web as well as social network support for both applications as well as metering modules, makes the platform ideal for realizing projects for Internet of Things and Grid Computing. Developed the architecture for a cloud based service platform for services for the intelligent home. The application platform was developed in .NET and hosts hundreds of different home applications (home apps) in a server environment (cloud), accessible through touch displays or IP-TV in peoples homes. The system also incorporates a metering infrastructure, allowing home automation and energy presentation. The platform architecture allows for fully localizable and pluggable home apps & metering modules. The platform includes automatic integration in administration portals, a pluggable object database, Event logs, geolocation, GSM, package support, languages, custom layout, pluggable and enhancable script engine, AMR/AMI infrastructure, Multimedia-support, report engine, Social Network support, translation services, Web protocol support and an extensive set of web services and remoting capabilities etc. The platform also includes an XML Service Engine, allowing developers (or non-developers) to create services using only XML. • Software Engineer
      • 1994 - 1997

Entered for a brief project developing the firmware of an ultrasonic flow meter. This expanded into the possibility of developing a Windows 3.11 based utility meter readout application (using Delphi) called MCom (v1). Project grew, and we developed a new generation MCom v2. Implemented different metering protocols, like SIOX, MBus, LonTalk, IEC 1107, IEC 62056, and different IP-based protocols. Also did assorted embedded development. All embedded development was mostly done in Assembler, C, C++ and Neuron C (LonWorks). Windows development was done in Delphi. Show less

Development of different systems/programs: Computer games development: Legend of Myra (PC) System for consolidation of financial statements (Palantir) & miscellaneous smaller projects. Everything mostly done in Turbo Pascal & Assembler. A playable version of the game Legend of Myra (PC) is found here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3074137/lom.zip You'll need DosBox to run it: http://www.dosbox.com/download.php?main=1 After running DosBox, you need to create a virtual hard drive, example: mount C C:\Downloads\PW This will create a virtual hard drive named C: mapping to your real C:\Downloads\PW You then run GAME.EXE to run the game. Use MYRSETUP.EXE to change settings, keys, etc. There are probably more than 150 levels. When selecting you start at level 1, but can select every 10 levels, or levels previously unlocked. To to left, before level 1, there are intro and junior levels, that will introduce you to the game play. Default keys: § = Toggle weapon Num + = Fire Tab = Flamethrower Ctrl = Stopper dwarf Alt = Shoot Throw knife = space Left shift = collect 1 step away Enter = Drop bomb Backspace = Throw berserker dwarf End = Place missile cross Home = Launch missile M = music on/off P = Pause S = Samples on/off C = Scroll mode on/off Function keys = Scroll speed If the game is too fast or slow, use the function keys util you find a speed that suits you. (I found F6/F7 to be good.) Remember: This was one of the first games to introduce a full screen scroll in MCGA (VGA) mode. It's made mostly in assembler and was run on 80286 CPUs. Todays machines are obviously much faster, even when emulated, why you may need to slow the game down to be able to play it...
