Péter Zádor

Peter worked as a Software developer in the newly formed Scrum Team I managed as a Scrum Master. When putting together the Team I specifically asked for Peter because in a short period he had already proven his talents in another Scrum Team. For me it was really important to have bright, solution oriented and quality focused people at the core of the Team. Working with Peter proved really positive. Other than his good technical skills, his initiative on meetings, attention to details and communication/teaching skills gave a huge push in becoming a high performance, quality Team. I believe Peter has very good Java programming skills, and is capable of providing similar performance in different programming languages. Peter would be an excellent addition to any software projects, he has the sufficient skillls and has the capacity to grow quickly into a technical leader or architect role.

Péter joined my section before graduation. He started in a tester role, he learned the tasks and became productive very quickly. He very soon asked for new responsibilities and new learning opportunities and he got involved in software development work. Péter is a very talented individual, he has developed his skills and knowledge quickly. Soon he started to get involved and to contribute significantly to software design and requirement analysis type of work. Péter is very keen on producing good quality code and he is good in following trends, developments in the area of software technology, sharing newly acquired knowledge with colleagues and to incorporate the new methods, tools, ideas in the daily work. Péter is a friendly person with good coomunication skills in English and also in Hungarian. He has a great potential to develop further and become a good software architect and he looks also capable of taking on project or line management roles on the longer run.

My main responsibility is to build a continuous delivery pipeline for SDL's eCommerce platform, which includes the automated verification of new product releases in a production-like cloud environment. I planned and implemented a new automated functional test system for the core application using keyword-driven test approach with Java execution. Currently I am working on the automated verification of the Fredhopper SaaS solution that serves 300+ online shops worldwide. Besides building new tools I handle the project backlog and have continuous cooperation with stakeholders (product developers, QA, service operators). Show less

I took part in the transfer project of IPCM area to TCS as part of OSS outsourcing. I was involved in the knowledge transfer to developers, testers and domain experts (product owners). I gave many presentations about the domain and functionality of our products, the architecture and design details of the applications. I led coding and testing dojos and guided the work on new features following agile practices. I spent 2 months in Hyderabad (India) to do on-site teaching in the TCS office.

As a scrum team member in IPCM area I developed equipment manager and network connectivity discoverer products for the OSS platform (Operations Support System). The applications were written in Java, using extreme programming techniques like TDD, pair programming. We had a continuous integration system in Jenkins and created an automated test framework for verification. During development I had to deal with effective memory handling, multithreading and graphs. I took part in architecture plannings and important design decisions. I worked closely together with our business experts and I was involved in their analyst work. Besides development I tried to guide programmers from the teams for high quality, clean code. I was the tutor of new colleagues and I introduced our products and new features to our stakeholders. I had to cooperate with other divisions in Ireland, Sweden and India as well. Show less

I joined IP Configuration Management technical area first as a tester. We had few applications for configuring equipment in the Radio Access Network of telecom operators. I was part of a scrum team and did acceptance test for user stories, regression and functional test for deliveries. Besides manual testing I wrote automated tests in Squish and scripts to automate repeating tasks. These few months of testing helped me later as a programmer to avoid code-only mindset and to keep focus on user values during software development. Show less

As a university student I worked for the Laboratory of Parallel and Distributed Systems where grid computing was the target area of research and development. I was member of gUSE (grid User Support Environment) portal team as Java programmer. I made the portal capable of using grid systems with BES interface. I worked on my university thesis with title 'Meta-broker algorithm for grid systems'. I did research, built up a theoretical solution, implemented the newly created algorithm and proved the correctness of my improvements. Show less
