Atomnaut developed the world's highest resolution 3D microscope and the world's first in-situ vitrification technology. The position and identity of every biomolecule in a vitrified solution can be measured in 3D. Molecules can be free form or complexed. https://www.sbir.gov/sbirsearch/detail/1216569 https://www.sbir.gov/sbirsearch/detail/2196927 Atomnaut provides high-throughput, high-resolution, structural & chemical imaging services; for example, for a vitrified hemoglobin solution, data can be acquired at a rate of 16 million amino acids per hour, with a minimum 3D sub-nm resolution, and up to 3D sub-A resolution Atomnaut offers new reading / spatiochemical imaging capabilities in genome sequencing, such as: 1. High-accuracy long-read sequencing. Long-read sequencing can help resolve complex regions of the genome, the accuracy of existing methods, however, is lower than short-read methods, leading to more errors. 2. Reading complete methylation status of DNA / epigenetic modifications. Epigenetic modifications, e.g. methylation of DNA, plays a key role in regulating gene expression. Existing sequencing methods have poor sensitivity to modifications. Taking a computational biology approach, Atomnaut is building a database of DNA / RNA / chromatin structure data, in order to develop 'AlphaFold2' for RNA structure prediction. Show less
