I lead assessment and program teams focussed on provision of $220M financial assistance to landholders affected by Queensland Vegetation Management legislation. The work involved delivering a program for evaluating landholder eligibility for assistance, and quantifying the areas of land on their properties affected by the legislation. A separate program provided financial assistance for landholders wishing to voluntarily protect areas of native vegetation under conservation agreements. both programs were delivered under strict timeline, reporting and budgeting requirements. Leading a small team to deliver a participative and comprehensive community engagement program in three separate bioregional areas in South West Queensland to develop Regional Vegetation Management Plans for the Mulgalands, southern Qld Brigalow Belt and Nandewar Biorerions where they occur in Qld.Consultation involved extensive community contact and dialogue, development of community surveys and documenting community attitudes and responses.
