ANGAU Hospital is located in Lae City of PNG serving over 675000 residents of Morobe and a referral hospital for 1.9 million people of Momase region. APEC Haus PNG (2017-2018) – AUD 90 million APEC Haus project delivered an iconic building that showcases Papua New Guinea throughout the duration of the APEC Conference. Built on reclaimed land near Ela Beach in Port Moresby’s central business district, this glazed conference facility is a gracious nod to the cultural caretakers of the Capital City, the Motu-Koita people.

  Recruited to prepare and conduct internal audits of revenue recognition for Pacific region, report risk related incidences to the Compliance Director and CFO, and take appropriate actions on recognition of non-compliant deal files. Key contributions included addressing ad hoc queries from the regions offices, liaising with Support Services unit and verifying accuracy of statements within deal files and providing source material to support the deal.  Audit Improvement: Inherited 80% rate of non-compliant revenue files, and reduced to better than 30% over 9 months through identifying key problem areas and developing raft of initiatives to address. Reviewed 100+ deals/audits and notified operators of all deals exceeding $100K.  Training: Developed and coordinated training sessions at 18 offices throughout Pacific region on administration of revenue files for audit for all personnel including managing directors, office managers and executives. Training was credited with significantly reducing errors in revenue files/compliance amongst 750+ participants over 6 month roll-out.  Working Relationships: Developed strong communication channels with senior management and directors/executives throughout the region ensuring accurate recognition of revenue in accordance with legislation, for transactions ranging to $40M+. Established rapport with front office staff enabling resolution of numerous bottlenecks.  Organisational Reporting: Completed monthly reporting on deal file audits for the region detailing non-compliant deals and associated risk on the financial statements.  Service: Addressing ad hoc queries from the regions offices managing at least 1 enquiry per week from internal customers, providing prompt responses and regular communications, while adapting communication style to suit the individual, to render complex information understandable.
