BTWG seeks to reach new audiences and attract membership among MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Conventions, Events) and Corporate Travel Managers (CTM) and suppliers. While most destinations and hotels accommodate both tourists and business clients, it is important to acknowledge the specialized needs and opportunities in the business market. The BTWG enables GSTC to better address these and ensure sustainability criteria are relevant. I was involved in conTgo since the early startup days in 2008. I had different roles in the company as the business grew. I was part on a small dynamic team with focus on conceptual development of costumer solutions, implementation of global customers and account management. For a period I was part of a team that had responsibility for implementing a global customer in 4 countries for a pilot trial and later into full production in more than 110 countries globally. This customer is still one of the flagship customers here in 2014. During the global roll-out I had the responsibility to define, document and plan the development of a unique travel data workflow solution to the global customer. This solution has later become a standard part of the conTgo offering. I was the leading project manager on this project from start till end in close dialog with people from the customer's global security team. The last 2 years in conTgo one of my main focus areas was to develop a reporting platform, that could help customers analyse their booking data and here I worked on specific customer projects for existing global conTgo customers. I moved into a position as a “Data Detective” with expertise knowledge on how to identify KPIs for customers in a “Big Data” environment. Show less

In the spring of 1999 I co-founded Travis A/S. Travis A/S was a leading provider of e-procurement systems within the business travel industry. The idea to found Travis A/S was based on my in-depth knowledge of complex on-line e-procurement, travel reservation and payment systems. My many years of experience within the above mentioned areas inspired me to develop the business plan and present it to venture capital investors. As an entrepreneur I have been part of the whole process from the initial start-up through all the different phases of establishing an international company. Travis was introduced to the marked in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland in April 2000 and we launched on of the first on-line travel booking portals in the Nordic region in 2000. As CTO I was responsible for the business development and IT organisation and together with the CEO and COO we established the Nordic organisation, including hiring country managers in Norway, Sweden and Finland and hereby established an organisational structure in the four countries. I was a member of the board of Travis A/S. This gave me invaluable insight of the work at board level and hence the level of responsibility that lies on senior managers towards the shareholders and to the entire organisation. Show less

I was recruited as Senior IT Manager when Bennett BTI – Denmark acquired a main competitor in Denmark. My main responsibility was to develop a new IT structure for the two companies and to merge the two IT organisations into one. At the same time I joint a Nordic IT analytic team, with the main task of identifying a common IT platform and infrastructure for the four countries. Project name “BITS”. On of the assignments was to develop training programmes and implementation routines for the entire staff (1400 people). Also the development of information and internal marketing materials was one of the major assignments for the team.
