It is with pleasure that I write this recommendation for Peter Rufus. I first started working with Peter since early 2009, when he joined Nicknack as a Senior Copywriter. Immediately, Peter created a positive impression in the studio with his infectious laugh, kind and genuine nature and pin-sharp creative and strategic mind. I have been working professionally as a designer for almost 12 years now, and Peter is the only person I can hand-over-heart honestly say has inspired me everyday in his company. Working alongside Peter has been not only awe-inspiring but also a load of fun. Peter has an incredibly curious mind and is a sponge for information, ideas and theories that he not only retains, but enthusiastically shares and discusses with his peers. He challenges you to think more deeply about issues, topics or through critiquing other creative’s work. Peter is a world-class Creative Director in the making. His ability to think strategically about a product or brand, to imagine what others can’t and have the courage to step out on a limb for a good idea is incredibly impressive. In this capacity I have learned a great deal. Peter is also able to present creative work to clients in a way that has them eating out of his hands by the end of the presentation – a very persuasive speaker. Peter also, enviably, possesses a wildly creative mind. A way with words that would make any other copywriter bow in respect – powerful, witty, elegant, well-crafted and above all, bloody clever! Peter was often called to craft copy (for a range of different uses) under extremely tight deadlines and, incredibly, always delivered superior work. And in doing his work, also works collaboratively with those around him to achieve the best results for the client. He also possesses a very intuitive design aesthetic, so much so that I would often show my work to Peter to give me constructive feedback during the design development phase.
