SH:24, in collaboration with APIN Public Health Initiatives (APIN), is providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health (MOH) through the National AIDS and STIs Control Program (NASCP) on the development and delivery of a virtual service to support the scale-up of HIV self-testing to address gaps in testing and linkage to treatment as part of the Global Fund Differentiated Service Delivery Strategic Initiative (DSD-SI). The virtual support services provided by SH:24 include screening for HIV and linkage to HIV counseling, treatment, and preventive services. SH:24 supports the promotion of self-care by improving access, uptake of, and experience with virtual HIV services, thereby providing an additional channel for entry into these services and improving the health of the local populations through rapid diagnosis and linkage to treatment for HIV and STIs, particularly for people who find traditional services inconvenient or uncomfortable to use. Virtual Support Team The VST is a specialist team of sexual health professionals authorized by Self-Test Nigeria to manage service users’ care pathways.
