      Currently accountable as part of the core team Mechanical Dept. at Dounreay, PFR Facility on the Maintenance Contract. I am responsible for the maintenance, repair and performance standard of a wide range of Nuclear/Chemical Plant Mechanical systems ensuring integrity, maintenance and ensuring daily efficiency standards, liaising daily with the Team Leaders and Engineer’s to maintain maximum delivery and meet performance standards.Proactive in working with the Team Leaders, planning daily, weekly and monthly work scopes to achieve a clear plan that can be executed with this timeframe to ensure plan attainability. Assisting the Operations team daily as required, working to company procedures and involved in the planning and safe execution of shutdowns of various plants located within PFR. -Carrying out routine planned maintenance and breakdown repairs in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system.-Responsible for correct implementation of routine maintenance procedures.-Carrying out of unplanned maintenance and breakdowns as required.-Organize and liaising with vendors/auditors coming onto the Plant to work on specialist equipment.-Replacing mechanical seals on pumps.-Replacing fan belts, pulleys, bearings and shaft realignment on HVAC Systems-General mechanical maintenance on 16 Cylinder Diesel Generators. -Strip down, overhaul and pressure test various safety valves so they are ready for insurance inspection-Carry out maintenance and inspections on the overhead cranes, checking the brakes, hoists, wire ropes and hooks. -Fully conversant with Electronic Permit System and isolation and re-instatement of plant.-Include an active role in the Snow safety program. -Carried out commissioning, decommissioning and installation work of chemical plants, most recent was a new HVAC System.-Carrying out Shutdown maintenance on Sodium Disposal and Water Vapour Nitrogen Plants and coordinating scheduled tasks.
