I originally employed Pete into our SRI R&D team as a design engineer, and Pete very quickly demonstrated a collaborative approach and nimble ability to learn processes and systems. Pete is a creative engineer at heart, and has a unique talent to think laterally to find innovative and impactful design solutions. However Pete also has developed a robust understanding for MedTech product development pathways and approaches supported by Regulatory and Design Control principles.....and now has a really good grasp of the product lifecycle for medical devices, from concept through to commercialisation. As Pete transitioned into an inspiring & creative MedTech R&D program leader his natural collaborative approach and Customer and patient mindset, has elevated the impact of the SRI program for DePuySynthes ANZ Pete would be a valuable asset to any organsiation, though particularly in the Medical Technology/Devices space, and I highly recommend Pete for future opportunity

Pete and I worked together for the last 9 years in the DePuy Synthes Special Request Instrument Program. In that time, I have witnessed him expand and evolve the Special Request Instruments Program and process to ensure effectivity, efficiency, and compliance to global and local regulations. Under Pete’s Program Management, the SRI team was able to design, develop, manufacture and release 15-20 new instruments every year. All done through agile processes and efficient management. Pete inherent skills and capabilities have been one of the successes of the SRI Program. I think the thing I most admire about Pete is his extraordinary time management skills. He gets done what he says he will, in the time stated, without exception. He also has outstanding prioritization skills, an innate part of his time management capabilities. Associated with this, he manages people and teams exceptionally well. He tracks and supervise tasks and ensures activities are completed on time based on his own prioritization and organization capabilities. Pete has great attention to detail and is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, all with the same care and consideration. He is solution focused and will always find a way to get something done in the most efficient and compliant way, with the best outcome for the patient and the business. He is highly considered, has a systems approach to everything he does, and he is a highly pragmatic decision maker. In his design role he is hugely capable, with one of his super skills being able to translate Surgeon needs into design inputs. Creating elegant and functional design outputs, always with patient safety top of mind with his informed and considered design decisions.
