  In 2004 I worked as a volunteer in collaboration with Bridges Across Borders for The Centre for Children's Happiness in Phnom Penh. Among other things I assisted the organisation in setting up an educational programme at the center, raised funds contributing to a second center and co-founded the first national committé for the United World Colleges in Cambodia. "The Centre for Children's Happiness is a local organization that provides a safe, clean and loving home for orphaned or abandoned children, many of whom were previously working in horrendous conditions at the Stung Meanchey Municipal Waste Dump on the outskirts of Phnom Penh."
