•Develop, administer, promote and assess a comprehensive rec clubs program including 30+ diverse student organizations, the Rec Clubs Council, 30 coaches/instructors, and 10 student staff •Oversee a programming budget of $15,000 along with Portland State’s $220,000 club allocation that is divided among all our clubs through our allocation process •Develop and revise program policies, procedures and protocols for all aspects of the program •Communicate policies, procedures and protocols through the dissemination of information in club leader quarterly trainings, club handbook, emails, program website and regular communication with club leaders and members •Administer the five person Rec Clubs Council; including trainings, supporting and mentoring with the budget process, policy and procedure review, and club conduct issues •Support student development by coordinating and advising club leaders and members on club management topics such as budgeting, scheduling, travel, elections, activities, recruitment, leadership, risk management, event planning and implementation, and National Governing Body (NGB) rules and regulations •Coordinate the collection and storage of club member rosters, waivers, travel and event documents through PSU Connect’s online management system •Schedule clubs for practice and competitions spaces which include the Recreation Center, Stott Field, and Stott Center •Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate student staff, student leaders, coaches, and volunteers •Engage in ongoing assessment and provide detailed financial, progress, usage and satisfaction reports as needed including annual reports •Assist clubs in obtaining contracts, NGB Eligibility checks, service agreements and other critical documents for club operations for Portland State University •Assess Rec Clubs related concerns of participants and employ sound judgment and appropriate procedures to resolve issues and incidents Show less
