During significant downsizing and plant closings, Mr. Koczur built an outsourcing team to take over the Logistics and Re-work segments of a $2 billion worldwide telecommunications company. This resulted in an annual savings to the company of over $2M. He managed all transitioning from in-house services to third-party handling of Material Planning, Inventory Control, Distribution, Customer Service and Re-working. Mr. Koczur has put in place a green facility and initiated `best practice' programs. Chemical Company, Mexico Mr. Koczur was responsible for the re-sitting of the manufacture of $30 million in Sales to a facility in Mexico. He had responsibility for the product specs and quality control program, production planning and customer service, changeover of IT programs from BPCS to SAP. He established a Safety, Health and Environmental function as well as all compliance reporting guidelines. Mr. Koczur was contracted to assist in solving their excess inventory problem. By changing the purchasing and planning systems and implementing JIT inventory management, the manufacturing plant realized improved efficiencies of 40%. Over a twelve-month period, inventory was reduced by 35%. In addition, Mr. Koczur was retained to develop and organize the Human Resource Department. In addition, he made changes to the Safety Program, which resulted in a reduction of reportable accidents by 45% in the first year.
