My daily routines involve developing and implementing internal and external communications and marketing strategies for FOCUS Kenya. The overall purpose of this job was to oversee and ensure the effective running of the Short-Term Experience in Ministry (STEM) Program in FOCUS including recruitment, training and placement of the STEM staff. STEM is an apprenticeship program in FOCUS Kenya which gives fresh graduates an opportunity to gain value-based and transformational leadership attributes. I organized appropriate orientation and training programs and activities for the STEM staff and provided timely communication to the apprentices and mentors, partners and all relevant stakeholders. I was responsible for resource mobilization for the program, partnership engagement, and the coordination of the program continuity plan. I carried out monitoring and evaluation of the STEM Community Development program. I identified and recruited new STEM CD partners, provided oversight on the training, capacity building and administrative functions of the program ad mobilized funds for the project. I ensured active follow-up and timely communication with the STEM alumni, managed the STEM Alumni database, and organized STEM alumni networking projects and involvement initiatives. Show less

The purpose of this job was to facilitate the planning and implementation of the FOCUS mission and goals in the Region with particular emphasis on the Students Ministry, Associates Ministry, Partnership and Resource Mobilization. I coordinated postgraduate fellowships in campuses within the Region and maintained and updated the stakeholders' database in the Region. I handled all logistics for all the Regional Council meetings and forums, prepared and presented annual proposal plans for the Region to the Regional Council meeting and coordinated the implementation of the regional projects.
