      Following the election of the Labor Government in Victoria late 2014, I was asked to lead the Major Sporting Events unit, in the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources. Key outcomes included: • Led the State's successful operation of key sports events including the Asian Cup, Cricket World Cup, ICC international soccer with Real Madrid, Manchester City and AS Roma and the Cadel Evans cycle race. All events achieved record attendances and resulted in significant economic benefits for the State • Managed major capital works programs on key Sports Trusts including at Melbourne Park, where a $263M capital works project was completed on time and on budget involving the development of Margaret Court Arena, the Eastern Plaza and the National Tennis Centre Show less

      VBRRA was established by the Victorian Government to manage the largest bushfire recovery and rebuilding program Australia has ever faced, following the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires The Authority worked with communities, business, charities and local government to help rebuild communities affected by bushfires. • Responsible for all operational functions of the Authority including the bushfire cleanup, temporary villages, water, sewage, fencing, business initiatives, donations, planning and the overall construction program • Managed the successful bushfire cleanup, which used a prime contractor and over 100 subcontractors to remove bushfire debris from over 3000 sites across the State.
